Do You Believe In Time Travel? I Don't.

It would be an impossible feat to begin with. But the idea is still fascinating to me. IF one could go back in time, the future could be ruined, or the past could be ruined, same difference. Do you believe in it? Why or why not?

nope i dont its possible or will ever be. time is a man made thing to keep tack of things. if u take away time how would u know when anything happens. the universe is not bound by time and isnt govearned by it. the only time travel we can do is into the future and its one way, but its not in the way most people would thing its done. if u were to place a person in suspended animation where their body function at a slow rate then normal the u could go the future but u wouldnt be able to go back. even if u could travel through time and change things in ur past do u really thing tht would be a smart thing to so. its like tht movie butterfly effect. if u change one thing in the past u change ur whole future like dominos all lined up. there are things tht every one would change but think about where u could be if u change tht one thing, it could have a bigger effect on ur life then u would think. for me i wish i could change things but i wouldnt want to unless it wouldnt change my future. all i can do is take those mistakes and learn form them, so i'm not repeating my past.

When I was younger my brothers convinced me that if I spun counter clockwise I could go back in time. Not only did they stand there laughing when I spent about five minutes spinning around but they took pictures of my tossing my cookies when I stopped. Time travel is a nice concept but as shown in The Butterfly Effect, it isn't without dire consequences.

The theory of cryogenics is similar to time travel. It is as close as we will realistically get! * Cryogenics is where a super rich sick person with an incurable ailment can be frozen until a cure for his or her malady is found and he or she is thawed out like a steak taken from a freezer. The theory has been tested on animals. * Another use for this technology would be for an astronaut going to Mars is put in hibernation by freezing him or her via cryogenics until the space craft is in orbit, then freeze until home again. This is the more practical use, as modern space craft don't come with a whole lot of cargo room for food or other supplies. * I don't see us time traveling like the folks in Star Trek doing it.

I believe we do travel through time very often but we just never realized it. Our minds are a very wonderful thing and with it we can travel backwards and forwards in time. When we remember something that happened to us when we were small that is traveling to the past and we think of our plans and how we would like to be in the future then we are traveling through the future. Our minds move faster than light and we can go backwards and forwards in time. :)

well, as far as we know, nobody could time travel in the past or for that matter now days...and if they invent time travel in the future, then they would only be able to travel forward in time...cuz if they could travel back in time, i think they would have stopped by and said Hi by now...of course some believers in UFOs' think that the UFO's ARE time travelers from the future. but i've never seen a UFO or somebody walking around with a 3010 Sear's catalog...so i remain highly skeptical....but who knows for sure.....Rock On Rockvixen!!!
