I wrote a children's chapter book and had it published. I got the copies today. They look really cool. I am so excited. I plan to take them to some of the local schools and see if they will buy them. They are perfect for the classroom. The story is about a family of 4 that live in the desert. They have lots of adventures-the father is an inventor for the Air Force and he shows up at the kids school in a helicopter and drops their lunches to them. Stuff like that. -A gorilla escapes from the circus and saves their lives.-SantaClaus can't land at their house, etc. Let me know if you want one! They are $10 a copy.

Thank you to all of you. It is a great experience to see your words in an actual book. Let me say a few words, though, on publishing. An author waits around for someone to need his writing and getting published is not so much a matter of merit as a matter of being at the right place at the right time. Publishers choose their books by what they need, not by the genius of the author. So, you can be a great author and never be recognized by a publisher. Many good writers are turning to self publishing or web publishing these days. I say, if you want to write, WRITE! find a way for others to read your writings via web sites, self publishing, etc. Now go for it!

Hi, how did your books sales turn out? Were you able to find schools that were interested in purchasing them?

Congratulations on getting yourself published and I hope that you sell many many copies. The contents seem very amusing for children. How did you get published, how hard did you have to work before you were... if you don't mind me asking.

I know the feeling very well. My book, Cat-House Sonnets, 100 poems celebrating cats, was a thrill to hold in my hands. It has won the Muse Medallion from the Cat Writers Association and Best Poet from Preditors & Editors. I love to read the great reviews it received. Check it out at my publisher's website: http://jorlanpublishing.com/Cat-HouseSonnets.htm

Wow! You actually wrote a childrens book and you actually got it published?? That is like one of my fantasies. To write a book of my very own and I dont mind what kind of book it is as long as its a book and is officially published by a publisher and not just compiled and that I sent to a store to ask it bookbinded then Ill distribute it to my friends and family. I want to make a book that will make it to the shelves. Thats very nice fo you to make a book for childeren. You must love children. What I like about childrens books is that they look so fun to make. They have lots of color and illustrations and they only have a few words in them and that does the job they also spark the imagination of the readers. Im not a child anymore but I still enjoy reading any kinds of books that will spark my interest. Well, goodluck in your book venture and I do hope you books get to the schools.^_^
