This is a quote from the Oprah Online newsletter. The tips are great for moms of young children. "In honor of Mother's Day, Peter and his staff are calling up their moms to wish them well. And moms across the country are calling in to get advice from Peter on better organizing their households. Julie Edelman, author of The Ultimate Accidental Housewife: Your Guide to a Clean-Enough House, and professional organizer Dorothy Breininger join Peter in helping moms find easy ways to clear the clutter and make more time for their families and themselves. If you're a mother of young children, Julie offers this advice on how to cut down on household clutter: Every time your children get something new, take something old out of the house. "That cuts down on just continually compounding the problem," she says. Make organizing toy boxes and cleaning up messes a fun activity for your children. "It gives them a sense of empowerment and creativity," Julie says. Dorothy, who is also the producer of the documentary Saving Our Parents, offers this advice for adult children who want to celebrate their moms on Mother's Day. Give a gift that can't be wrapped. "Give the gift of time, and spend some time asking your mom questions about her life," Dorothy says. "The minute you sit down to ask questions about another person's life, you are saying 'Wow, you are important; your life has meaning.'" " xoxoxoxoxoxo

I absolutely ADORE Peter Walsh!!! I have been a total fan of his since his Clean Sweep days and I am so happy to see him at it again. I do not watch Oprah but saw the last show he did at the hairdressers. He even helped my husband get rid of some things...I saw him address a person on his show who had the same emotional issue with a few items that my husband did. I said to my husband the very touching and poignant thing Peter had said to the woman on the show and my husband was able to let go of those items. It was awesome.
