Sometimes Money IS the Best Birthday Present (=

So, it's my birthday, and my parents have said they'll be giving me an amount of money as my present It's my birthday on Wednesday, and after Friday I won't be going to university any more! ^^ -dances- Anyway, I'll be working full-time, if my current opportunity works out, and I'll move out of my parent's place (= It's quite a big move, but I'll finally be independent... and free from my ever-nagging mum, hehe (It's like you spent your whole childhood waiting for the point when your mum couldn't nag you any more, then you become an "adult"... and she still nags you?) I've been saving up a little each month from my part-time job, and thanks to rent-free living with my parents, I don't have any debts from university... But the sum from my parents will be a great help, so I can get a deposit on a flat, and actually move out ... hopefully within a month or two! I really appreciate the "birthday present", and the fact that I'll be able to start off myself. I was always thinking about saving up for a deposit for myself, and expected to rent out a place at first... but thanks to my parents I won't be living in a hovel (; Mylotters, what did your parents do when you moved out? What do you get from your parents for your birthday?

First of all, I would like to greet you a happy and fruitful birthday! Yes, money is sometimes the best birthday present. You can buy the things you need instead of them buying a gift for you which you may not need. I have received the gift of salvation as my birthday gift when I trusted the Lord as my Savior and Lord, and was born spiritually. My parents did nothing when I moved away from them. They understood. My parents doesn't celebrate any birthday so I receive none.

So did you find a flat that you liked? Are you settled in? When I moved out my mom helped us with the downpayment for our house. Sadly, that marriage did not last. Are you enjoying living on your own?
