On a daily basis you should be eating a lot of fruit and vegetables. Whole grains are good for you, as well. Oh yeah, and drinking a lot of water helps. There are all kinds of things out there!

I go with what everyone else has said. To keep a healthy body we need more fruits and vegetables as well as MORE fiber. I had to learn this the hard way...I developed type 2 diabetes. I have learned that not only is this disease preventable it can also kill. I now eat foods that are based on a glycemic index diet with less fat and carbohydrates. Less meat and more fish. Exercise also plays a part in staying healthy. You can read more about the GI diet on my blog at Squidoo http://www.squidoo.com/sixapart/Diabetes Have a healthy day! Kowgirl

You should eliminate packaged food and fast food from your diet. Hard to do, I know, but they contain large amounts of preservatives and additives that aren't good for you. Your intake of vegetables and fruit should be 4 times as much as your meat or other protein. You should have 1 or 2 servings of whole grains a day. Eliminate white bread from your diet. It has little nutrition and doesn't digest well. For more information on healthy eating you can go to the library and check out Living Well by Montel Williams. This is an excellent book. (no I'm not affiliated in any way with Montel or his book). The book is also available at Amazon.com, if you want to buy it.
