Doing this whole MyLot thing for 4-5 hours a day is not only bad for your eyes (monitor eye strain) but how about your social and physical health! Don't get me wrong, I love MyLot but I certainly don't sit in front of my computer for hours on end! Can you imagine what a person would be like if they dedicated 4-5 hours a day to a certain cause, study or program? Lift weights or run for that much time a day would make them a word athelete! Focusing on real estate they could find millions of dollars! If they spent that much time with their children they would be the best parent ever! Is it bad to spend 4-5 hours a day on the computer? Yes. Use your time wisely. Once it is gone....it is gone forever!

Thanks. Can you imagine who we could actually become if we just focus for longer than a minute on what out dreams and goals and life are? I call it the 'Rocking Chair Test'. Will the thing I am doing matter much when I am 90, on the edge of the end of my life and wonder what my time was all about?

Spending more time on computer for mylot is harmful as thereare some other important thing in life than mylot. I think people should spend around 2 hours not more than that for mylot. Because mylot is very addictive and infectious. Although I love mylot so much but there are things that shouldn't be neglected for mylot like friends, hobbies etc.

ya indeed sitting on the computer for long hours is indeed harmful. they affect your health. but sitting at home and doing some posting to earn some money is also something we cannot deny. well we should not try too hard but do it just for fun and enjoy the earnings. have a good day.

It depends on the condition of your body, I believe. What I'm about to say isn't limited to using your computer for MyLot activities. It doesn't matter if you're using it for MyLot activities, to operate a home business, to do studies, or to look at dirty pictures. If you sit too long in front of your computer at one time--even if you give yourself short breaks from it--burning the midnight oil, it's not going to be a pretty picture if you're somebody (such as myself) who has a tendency to have edema (water retention). My skin had enough of it and popped open in a few places! Fortunately, I'm not Humpty-Dumpty, so I'm now nearly mended, but it's been a challenging recovery. Although I don't have this down to a science yet, I'm trying to get more rest these days. When I start feeling my legs and/or feet feeling tight, I try to wind down my work and get somewhere to put my legs and feet up and take a nap. I'm also writing a book that concerns, in part, the source of this problem, and I'm working on Chapter Seven now. When done, it will be at least ten chapters long, but I don't think any more than a dozen chapters. I'm estimating a dozen. If you have any kind of chronic problems whether with edema, problem eyesight, your heart, or whatever, pace your computer work so that it doesn't further damage you.

Balance is the right word for this, set time for doing computer works and set time for other important things like health, family and social life.

Nah, when I worked in an office with a cubicle (a la Dilbert) I was watching my computer screen all day long. Of course just like other things, moderation is important. People have different tolerances for some things so I suppose you just have to know your limits and your attention span, know what I mean?
