Hi joseph. I can answer you as a mother. Have a kid is the biggest experience in the life. You feel that a part of you is in your arms and you are look at this part. You never more will be complete if you don't keep near from her/him. You feel yourself strong like a lion if you need to defend your kid, and you feel yourself fragile like a kitten when your kid run to your arms and give you a big smile. You become strong and fragile at the same time. Never more you thing about your needs first. When you have a kid you feel yourself powerful and full of love. It is a difficult thing to explain, but it is the most wonderful experience in the world.

First, CONGRATULATIONS to you and your family. So, you are an 'ammaavan' now! You ought to be jumping with joy too. I remember my husband was overjoyed when we had our first child. He squeezed my mom and sister so hard that they couldn't breathe! But at that point of time, I was just relieved and happy to know that my child was healthy. Though I did bond with my child the first day...it did take a few days before I could focus on anything else besides the pain (even with painkillers). Your sister would need all the caring now....but I'm sure your mother and female relatives will be rallying around her right now:) Where did she have the baby?
