YouTube Musicians: Do You Take Requests?

I try to take requests as I can. If I already know how to play the requested song, I'll definitely post it quickly. If I at least have the sheet music for the song already, I'll practice it and then post it later (this sometimes takes months lately as I don't have a ton of free time). And generally, if I don't have the sheet music for the song already, I'm not going to go out and buy it to fulfill a request (although, if anyone ever sent me sheet music I'd definitely take their request). I take requests because I think it's kind of a nice thing to do. Plus, it makes me learn new songs sometimes as well. Do you take requests? If so, why? If not, why not?

I am not sure how to work my camera. And I had that thing for about four years now. I would like to get it set up so I can showcase my music that I've written. When I do get it up and running I will take as many requests as possible. I like learning new songs from all types of genres. So, in the future look out for the name 'brokenxtheory' or something to that affect.

Aw, you need to learn how to use that camera! Looking forward to seeing some videos up from you. I especially like to see original music. I'm not very good at writing music myself. I've only written one piece ever that was performed on a stage... a guitar sextet performed by 12 guitars. Wish I had a video of that to post though.

Thanks! I have just been so busy lately that I haven't posted as much as I used to.

If I can find music for the song online and I like the song itself then I'll take requests, but I am open to hearing anything, just doesn't mean I'll go through with it though. Sometimes I'm not really sure on what I should cover next which is why I like the idea of requests because it can get me looking at new music that I might not have heard and be interested in playing.

I haven't been able to find as many songs online now as I used to. I don't guarantee to anyone that I'll take their request either, some songs are just not my thing. Although, if my friends ask for a song they're more likely to get it. I seem to have an endless supply of sheet music so I'm never really short on songs. It seems like I always have at least five future song ideas going. I would love to find more online sources though.
