Stupid Error

Okay I am sitting at my daughters and decided to do some myLotting while they were all busy etc. Well I made sure that her account was logged off then I logged into my account. My name and avatar were visible. I started a discussion, then when I added the tags and clicked submit I happened to see that it was posted under her name and account. So now there will be two discussions about the same thing. But the one in her account sounds really funny as it's about me. Too funny. I am so used to being the only one using the puter at home that it is hard to do things here on her puter. Have you gotten so used to using just YOUR puter that it's hard to use another ;persons puter? I want to be home on my puter. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

rotflmao yes indeed. its actually like trying to wear someones else's shoes isn't it? You know your own computer inside and out, you know its quirks and speed. When on someones else's it is like un known territory....LMAO i saw that other discussion you look so cute in Minnie's Dress...

I do feel more comfortable using my own computer at home. But I am also okey in using other computers though it takes about some minutes for me to adjust and get the hang of everything such as the mouse and the keyboard. I am also more careful when I use other computers.

LOL--To save money on my printer ink, and if I have a lot of things to print up, I'll go to the library and use their computer/printer....so yup I have to remember how to use a PC---you see I have a Mac computer, and our keyboard system is different to begin with...say I want to copy/paste something on my computer, it's Option + C and Option + V, While on PCs it's Control +C, etc...sheesh...or if I'm at a friend's place that has a computer and allows me to use, I get a tad nervous using it anyway...don't want to be accused of zapping something by mistake

When I go to either one of my daughters it's strange to try to use their's. I guess you fall into using your own...have all your own stuff for your favorites etc. so when you log on at someone else's its not so easy to adjust! Course that might have something to do with age! LOL

Yes. My husband and I both have our own computers and sometimes I will get on his. After being on his computer, I find it strange being on mine. For one, his mouse is a bit different.

Sometimes when I'm at my parent's house I'll get online and go to a few sites. A lot of the time the site has preferences, and when I go around the site, I'm thinking huh? None of this stuff sounds like me. Then I remember I'm at my parent's house, and sometimes my mom and I visit the same sites.

I know what you mean. I am so use to being on my computer that when I use someone else's, I feel like I have never used a computer before. It feels really strange. I responded to the post that you left under her name and it was quite confusing at first. It was an honest mistake though. I thought that you were just thinking to make a little money for her, hehe.

For about 3 years all we had was one puter, my hubby, son and I all shared it. Of course someone was always on usually them playing games, or later in the night me playing card games with friends. About a 11/2 ago I bought a laptop, to use in a WAH business. Now I am so happy, I have my own little puter, and I am very greedy, no one uses my laptop. We got the kids a basic unit for Christmas, so now everyone is happy.

yes indeed my puter is old but my monitor is brandnew. and the few timesIused the computers at the library where I worked I had a time as some of the keys stuck due to too many four year olds banging them while overindulgent moms watched. and the monitors were not as good as my led one so in a short time I would get a headache and then start making a ton of typos.

I am so very much a creature of habit and anything new or different is so hard to do.. When my son comes to visit for the weekend, (he is a puter geek), he is always updating or changing something or the other.. I have to call him and tell him to "PUT IT BACK THE WAY THAT IT WAS".. He calls me an old fuddy duddy and I am and proud of it.. I like a place for everything and everything in its place.. I am a stick in the mud and like my own puter..

That's funny! Will make your daughter look like she has a multiple personality! I've never made a mistake using someone else's computer, as I never do (that's likely the only reason!) But I have been known to make a stupid error now and again! And if no one notices, I don't mention it!

That's pretty funny that your discussion got posted under your daughter's account. I don't have any trouble using someone else's computer, but I've found out that it's a good thing to log out on some places. I use my husband's laptop when he's not around, and one time when he got on it, he went to get on Amazon, but my account was on it. There were all my recent Christmas shopping things on there, like things I had looked at, and he couldn't figure out why there were things on his Amazon page. He didn't notice that it was my name at the top of the page.

I am working for the Government in day time. After my office there, I go to my sideline work here in a courier company. I am using the same computer, the accounting personnel use, so I made separate account for my own use. Everytime I use the computer, I make sure to log-in to my account. It is the same thing i do, in using the browser. It also happened to me, the stupid error you have experience. lol

so true... whenever i'll be using my sister's computer to surf the net or post stuff or just to type reports, i would feel so awkward about not having my own files and would usually confuse her accounts as mine..
