How many of you still have pay phones in your areas?

we do on the main street,but most of them don't work. they get damaged from the town drunks slamming them down and trying to get the change out.it's better to try and find one in a store if you really need to use it.

yes they still have them. Not everyone has cell phones...with the crazy inflation and recession, a lot of people are poorer and poorer. Theyre still at the gas station, grocery store, etc and i DO see people using them!

there never was that many pay phones but there are always pay phones in the malls, and subway stations, here so I do not have a problem finding one.

There's a phonebox across the road from where I live,and I pass another on the way to work..I'm not aware of any news or action on any of them having been,or about to be decommissioned around here,and they're still a fixture on the streets around the Towns where I go Shopping! I'd never think of checking the current cost of a call from a payphone-I'm assuming it's still a 10p minimum...(UK/Northern Ireland)

Yes we have pay phone hear in our country. We have people hear who cant affort to have a cell phone and many people prefer to use the traditional way of communication. We have people who dont require a cell phone but still they carry a cell phone. Even i carry a cell phone because i need to be in touch with my family and friends. but not a for business. enjoy :)

yes, as a matter of a fact, we do still have pay phones in our area. I couldn't tell you what they cost now though. Most of the convenience stores have them outside.
