Fess up,people,do you like it when your pets wear clothes? I've never bought any outfit for my 2 doggies and I kinda think its unnecessary and ridiculous but some people see it as an expression of love and care. Animals are much better equipped for cold weather than we are so I might've boughtA them jackets if we lived in Alaska. However, when I see them shivering during a brief walk in winter I consider buying them ...shoes. Or socks!..:))))) Also,to me it's so much like parents dressing up their kids the way they want,no matter what the kid thinks. Dogs are in even worse position since they can't talk lol Small and hairless ones would appreciate it,though...

I have bought her a few. She gets cold when it is 70 degrees out, when it is really cold, she freezes. She is a doxie, so she has very little hair.

I like when dogs where clothes, especially chihuahuas since they are small and cute, and they look even cuter when they wear clothes, that it helps them to stay warm since they like to shake alot, and yeah I agree dogs cant talk so they cant talk about, and from what I have seen most chihuahuas like clothes aslong as you start them wearing clothes when they are a puppy.

I would never put clothes on my dogs, because for one my dogs would just tear them up, so there goes my money down the drain and two I just think it's stupid but I'm not saying everybody that does it is stupid I just think it is.

No, I think it sick to see animals dressed in such a way. It never looks like they are enjoying what they have on, and besides colthes is one thing that seperates us from the rest of the animals. If you insist on dressing up your dogs then I sugest you eat off the floor like they do, they humiliation should be equivilant then.

My dog has a couple of sweaters, but he never really enjoys wearing them. He always looks kind of strange int them, I don't think i put them on right. I alos bought him booties once, but they would not stay on his feet.

Lol yeah,I doubt he enjoys wearing them. Most dogs don't like collars, let alone clothes... Wish I could see a picture of your dog in booties...:)))

If i lived somewhere where it got REALLY cold then yes. because dogs can get cold. My dog will sometimes sleep under my covers with me. I've thought about buying him a shirt just cuz i think its kind of cute! but I have a big dog. so i think its kind of points and i sometimes think people might over do it sometimes but hey, it's there dog, and there money! I also think it depends on how you view your pets. some people see there pets as an actual "baby" of theirs. it is not just a DOG it's an actual family member. at least thats how i see my dog. his my child. I don't plan on having kids so I will always have a dog.

My dogs are not my babies but my buddies. Sometimes it seems like they see me as their mother or a miniature of God lol Their lives basically depend on me,I get upset with them pretty often and there's not much they can do but pray for forgiveness:) Are you serious about not having kids? I'm not ready for kids yet but I definitely want some down the road

No way.. I would never dress up my dogs, first of all they are Rotties and would look ridiculous, I see dressed up dogs mainly tiny ones. They may look cute but I agree it is really unneccessary. Plus, it looks to me that once they wear something in the winter they become addicted to it and if they do not wear it once they get a cold.

That is possible, dogs get spoiled easily. I agree about big dogs, would be fun to dress up a Great Dane lol

I think it looks cute when pets are dressed up for photo ops, but for general day to day, I think it's completely unnecessary as well. I can understand the winter thing for little dogs, but it seems like some people treat their pets like they are dolls.

Exactly! Cute they are no doubt but imagine how uncomfortable they must be and how bad it is not to be able to express one's indignation lol

MY mom has put a sweater on her older dog in the winter. My little baby rayray was cold once and would shake, so I bought her one , and well she did everything possible to take it off. Most hate them if you ask me.

My dog is such a girly girl! She has sweaters, dresses, PJs, Bikinis, a little fairy outfit! She even has her own personal puppy pool to go with her bikini. She LOVES clothes also when we come home with a new dress for her she gets soo excited!
