California's Un-Zipping

Looking at this picture of recent and current quakes, it looks like California has a zipper and it's getting unzipped. The 'zipper' is along the Hayward and San Andreas fault lines in red.

Hmmm it does look like that, its is very scary for anyone living around the areas where these things happen, it is very scary with what is happening in the world today...I think we are all being paid back for taking too much from this earth and giving back too little...

As for payback, I can't entirely agree. Earth has always been a wiggly planet, the continents playing a game of 'bumper cars' sense before the age of the dinosaurs and starting out with the single Pangea. The dinosaurs did not drive S.U.V.'s. They did however leave incredible road 'apples' though, maybe that ticked Gaia off?
