I know a lot of people who will only use name brand products, but I like to use some generic brands to save money. Sometimes I find the generic brand products to be better than the name brands. Do you use generic brand products? Do you find some generic brands that are better than the name brands?

Unfortunately I was brought up on branded products and nothing tastes as good. I've yet to find a generic brand that tastes the same as a 'brand' product in this country. Although I will use home branded products such as toilet rolls, disinfectants and such like!

If you want to use some of the generic food items, you can always try a few of the newer generic brands. There are new generics offered all the time, and some of them are even better than the name brands.

I'm not that choosy when buying or shopping for items, be it branded or generic ones. If I could afford, then I'd go for the branded ones and look for generic ones if I know that my budget is short. As long as I am comfortable with it, then I would whatever I feel like I want to..

I'm glad generics are available to us. It offers more variety and I have found some of the generic brands of better quality than name brand items.

This is true. Sometimes I look at the name and address of the company that is in small print on the generic brand package, and find that it is either made by the same company or one of its subsidiaries. Mostly the products are just as good and save us money too.

I always try to find the generic brand, especially when I am in Kroger (local grocery store) Not only are they just as good, but cheaper than the national brand; but I have a card that allows me another 10% off of that store's brands, so its even a bigger savings for me!!!
