I never attend a proper class on swimming. Most of my friends kinda surprise when they know that I can swim.. Haha.. Because I'm a very fat person. And due to this reason, I can't buy a swimming suit and stop swimming for quite sometime now.
So, how I learn to swim? This really need to give credit to my dad who always brought us to waterfall or riverside to swim during weekends or holidays. And he taught me some basic of learning and let me practiced on my own. It's really fun whenever I learnt new skills and styles!!!
How about you? Did you pay to learn swimming or it just come naturally to you?

we live near a lake and when i was a kid, we used to take a dip every summer or even during the rainy season. i learned swimming there. i don't know if someone taught me how to but i think i just imitated what my mother was doing when she was swimming. when i went to college, we had a swimming class and that's when i applied my crude skills in swimming and i easily learned the different strokes taught to us by our professor.
but now we don't go swimming in the lake before because its not as clean as it used to be. sometimes i feel i miss swimming there but i prefer to swim now in a swimming pool.

See there are two ways to learn swim:
1) you can go and join in the swimming class there you can have a coach, he will guide you how to swim..
2) if you go to the river or tank, there you can go to the place where you can find the depth of more than 10 feet or so.. you can learn the swim automatically, without any guide or so..
In the case 1 you have to pay some fees etc.. but in the 2nd one is very much free, and its quite natural things.. you can save those fees know..
Actually, the profession swiming is not required for the human being like ours, unless otherwise if you go and do any competitions at statelevel or so.. for our casual daily bath at river and tank, the casual swim is morethatn enough..
have a good day.
