I come from a very small country in Europe Its called Macedonia (or better known as Former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia) it has about 2 million people. One of them was Tose Proeski. The name means nothing or little to those that never knew him. This is his story (or you can check it out here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/To%C5%A1e_Proeski) . Tose was born in a very poor family in 1981. He was born in the same city my father is from Krusevo. He studied music but his parents could not afford an instrument so he chose to do singing. And lucky he did. As many of you know the war in Yugoslavia I dont have to tell you the whole story but once Tose started to sing we were all united. Everyone loved him because he had a voice of an angel, a heart of gold and love for everyone. He was religius, he was kind to everyone and helped everyone. Well october 2007 will be remembered as the day the God united Yugoslavia if only for a day. On his way to croatia he was involved in a car crash and died he was only 26. The days that followed were like a bad dream. No one could belive it. On the day of the funeral the whole country was silent no one worked that day no one could hold back the tears. everyone from 5 to 95, people of all nationalities and religions were praying for him. Now its 7 months since he died but it feels like it was yesterday. I just had to write this. Oh and Oprah is going to do a show on him but dont know when. When he was going to Croatia he was recording songs in English as some major record company sign him up so the world outside Europe propably never had a chance to hear him.
