My son Victor woke me up about 3 in the morning and said Mom, come see your mother's day gift. I had just went to bed so I really didn't want to get up, but I did anyway. I went into his room and he said close your eyes. He positioned me where he wanted me to stand and said open your eyes. When I opened my eyes I saw the most beautiful thing ever! He finished my website. My dream has come true and my website is complete!! I could not believe my eyes, he had really did it. I know he was working on it, but I didn't think he would have finished it and made it look the way I saw it in my mind!! OMG my son believed in me and took the time to make my dreams come true!!! Has anyone else ever helped you make your dreams come true?

You are a very lucky mother. I was so moved reading all the responses. I am the one who made my mom's dream come true. Though I don't like the fact that I will be away from her because we are only two, it's her dream that I work abroad. Well, here it is though missing her too much. But she visits me during summer. Belated happy mother's day!

you are right you have to be able to openly and honestly talk to each other. and that leads to a relationship made in love

Thank you also. You know, whatever makes her happy, makes me happy too. I believe that a mother knows what is best for their children. Openness in our communication was the key to our great relationship. =) Have a great day!

Wow that is sweet. Good for you. As you may know, I just recently lost my first baby through miscarriage and I am still grieving. My step-son gave me flowers and card but he is 6 so I know it was my mother-in-law who bought it and wrote on the card. It was her way of saying sorry too to me because partly, he caused my miscarriage because she was not happy for my pregnancy because she wanted me to have my step-son my priority. But that should be another discussion. Anyway, my hubby and I went fishing last weekend and knowing that I am still grieving and the Mother's Day thing kinda get into my nerve, he took me to the capital city of Maine and we spent the night in the hotel. I was sweet and I really appreciate it.

thank you ruthinian. I read your post about what happened. you know it may not ever seem like it, but things happen they way they are suppose to happen rather we understand the reason why. just being at peace with it is what we are regard to do so that we can open ourselves up for our blessing. never blame, or point fingers, you are never going to heal that way. just know your blessing are coming as long as you open yourself up for them. God Bless

you know people are going to think what they want to think, or feel what they want. what is important is how you react to what you are dealing with. never mind to what she says stay peaceful

I am not really blaming my mother-in-law for the miscarriage. I know it happened for a reason. The only thing that really hurts me was that she did give me a hint over and over again that I should not get pregnant and her reason was, that my husband who happened to be his only son is not a responsible father. And she even told everyone that she doesn't want another baby in the house. It hurts so bad. I married late in life. I waited this long. I am 43 years old and it was a miracle that I was able to get pregnant. But when I told her, her first reaction... well, it's not my problem, it's your problem. She sees my baby as a problem and I see my baby as a miracle. I felt that from that day on, my baby is not wanted. It hurts so bad. And the next thing she said was... so what will happen to Brandon (my step-son). It was all about him because since I came here she shoved into my throat that he is my priority. I came here to marry his son and not to be a baby sitter. The boy has a mother. And she wants to keep the boy away from her. Just the way she kept my husband away from his father.

that is a great question. I have been kicking around ideas, for a few years. I think from just knowing that there is a better way then a 9-5 i set out to find away to make it happen for myself. this is actually going to be my second website. to get this one going, i think it took me about 9 months from thought to creation. I am almost done and have a few things to work out, but things are going really well

Good to hear that. I have been looking around for opportunities to do a home-based job as well. I do hope I can achieve that too.

You have a very sweet son, 34momma and I'm so happy for you. He is so clever and certainly has a good idea of what 'dream site' his momma would like to have. I'm happy once more that your dream has reached for you there. Lucky you. I have some ex-girlfriends that have made my dreams come true before, but unfortunately, there were no happy endings for most of them with me. Anyway, Happy belated Mother's Day to you and take care.

I am more then proud. I am honored and grateful. He works full time, and runs a DJ business on his own, doing two and three parties each weekend. and he took the time to sit down in front of that computer, take my vision and make it come true. That is more then pride, that is love at the core of who you are.
