Does anyone else like cool, rainy days???

I like rain. I actually feel better on a rainy day than I do on a hot sunny day (unless it's also way hot and very humid). I have more energy when it's cooler than when it's hot. So, the last few days with the cooler temps and the rain, I've had so much more energy and have gotten a lot more done than I normally do.
I know most people look forward to summer days with the heat and the sun, so I know I'm in the minority. But, does anyone else actually feel better when it's cool and/or when it's rainy?

It's funny, because I think many, if not most, say rain is depressing - yet, my mood is always up when it rains. I can only think that it's the ionization of the atmosphere that has an effect on my brain chemistry and elevates my mood. But, that's a layman's guess.
As I said to OreoCookie, I apologize for not commenting earlier - I have no idea how this one got away from me. I try to always comment on responses people leave me. It's my way of letting them know I saw what they wrote and read it.

I see this is kind of an old discussion but I would LOVE a nice rainy day/night right now. We're in a horrible heat wave, I'm sitting here melting, the heat bothers me and makes my mind literally brain fart...LOL. We haven't had any rain in awhile here giving a true meaning of the baked apple (NYC)--yes, oh, yes...give me some rain!!!

Hey, girl! I don't mind if you're late - call it a rain date, if you will!! LOL We're supposed to get thunderstorms down our way - and they usually come up your way after - the lightning is hot and heavy just north of here across Philly and Camden, so my guess it's a central Jersey storm and you may get a bit of it. I don't hear thunder, so much of it may be heat lightning. But, if they're right and if that has any rain in it, my guess is it's headed your way. 
I wish I could offer you some of Mom's central air - I freeze during the day and it's set on 78!!! It just doesn't shut off when temps are at their hottest!!

Absolutely! I love the rain when it's not muggy and hot.
We have rain on days that is super hot and wet.
The air is full of water even before it rains.
I guess it's the humidity.
And then when it rains and is windy, the air
feels so nice coming through the windows.
Very refreshing!
Nice to sleep late on those days too.

I love a good thunderstorm. I could sit and watch the lightning all day long. I even have a sound machine which has the sound of a storm on it which I go to sleep by.

I am very scared of thunder and Lightening. people have gotten killed by it. I hate that loud noise too.

No I don't like cool rainy days, I would rather for it to be hot. because when it is hot, it rains it cools things off.

I really don't like hot AND rainy days - it's way too humid. But, if we get a good rainstorm after a series of hot days (like we might tonight), then yes, I really do like it because it does cool things off! But, I enjoyed this Spring - we actually had almost the entire Spring at spring-like temperatures and the rain only added to that feeling. I did enjoy it! Thanks for responding.
