Things we seemed to know about before they happened... Earthquakes, elsewhere...

One of the things that I am realizing more and more is that we are all related and connected. We have at times feelings of things about to happen and sometimes they are not of things that are going to happen to us but of things that are happening to people on the other side of the world... This morning, I woke up early, due to the squawking of a crow, heard a faint knocking somewhere which was odd and then had an urge to pray and to get out of the bed immediately... I did that and then had the urge to go and put something in a drawer for safekeeping just in case there was an earthquake... I had this happen immediately before the earthquake hit in China. And last night I was compulsively reading writings on the net about Near Death Experiences which, I must admit, served me well today as I know that those who have passed are in a place of love and compassion... and that they are still within the reach of prayers for healing. I am wondering if any others of you have these kinds of things happen: Having a feeling that something is going to happen like earthquakes, disasters, births, deaths, odd things etc. and then being surprised when it happens somewhere else in the world or, even more surprising, in your own neighborhood on the day that you are thinking of it or in some way preparing for it...

Beyond that I tend to get very tired and sick just before major disasters. Just before the Tsunami a few years back I was filled with anxiety and I was exhausted and crabby. Within a few days the disaster hit and my equilibrium returned. This last week I have felt the same way only worse and then this earthquake hit. I wasn't at all suprised but I was very saddened. It's odd how some people just sense when something is about to happen even if they don't know what or where.

It is amazing but shouldn't be really because we are all connected ... I remember helping out in the Northridge earthquake here in California and met one woman who packed her china just prior to it saying if I pack it this way and the earth shakes this way it will be safe. She did it and the earthquake happened and the china was fine. Other women spoke of their husbands who felt that something was going to happen and ran away from the house, refusing to be in it. She stayed there and dealt with the things that eventually got damaged in the earthquake. I have found that people do well in predicting thing... but that many people fail to recognize their own poweres or deny the truth or their observations or intuitions.

not that I know ofexcep wehn having feelings my kids or my dad was sick I would call every one to see if they were ok

Hi white, I just put my trust and faith in the Lord. I know that He is always in control of everything...even when things seem to be really crazy and chaotic. When you know the Lord, you don't have to fear anything. Your life is in His hands and He will protect you. This does not mean you will never suffer, but it does mean He is always with you and will see you thru to the end. The Lord is coming and I believe it may be soon. Of course only God the Father knows the exact day and hour, but we must be ready! Those who are saved have nothing to fear because when Jesus Christ returns it will be a truly glorious day, but for the unsaved, it will be horrible. I pray all will come to know the Lord Jesus Christ! God bless!

I must admit that I thought the first part of your comments were wonderful but then you mention unsaved ... and it kind of bombed for me after that... As God resides in all people, loves all intimately and well and is present in each and every breath. No one ever is seperate from that love. Regardless of belief... It is not possible. God cannot pull away from himself... And fear of hell or anything else should not be brought into this conversation... It is not a way to witness or to assist anyone. It is good that you have faith and trust in God. I pray that others will too but for love and never for fear of hell or even of the promise for heaven... I am saying now as some have said before me... "If I could I would burn down heaven and burn down hell so that people would then love God for God's sake and for Love's sake alone."

Hi whiteheron, I agree with you, it does happen to a lot of people, and I like your belief that those who have passed over are in a place of love and compassion. My own experiences have usually been limited to family and friends. I have felt for a long time that all peoples and races are related and connected, I like to say that we are all one. Blessings.

Thanks for posting. I thank you for that comment that we are all one because I believe too that we are one... as we are composed of the same matter, clay or starstuff... as we are animated by the same energy, and as we are born on, nurtured and supported by the same Earth, the same sun, the same water, the same food... And as we all have the same desire to be loved and to love... We are no less and no greater than any other person in our sacredness. We are all equal in our connection to each other even when we believe that we are somehow less than, or greater than or otherwise disconnected... We are all part of the field, the sacred hoop, the tao, the vine, the cucumber plant, etc. It is all the same only in a different form. Blessings to you as well.
