Last night, I was reading a lot about near death experiences or NDEs, the transition experiences reported by those who have died and have been brought or just came back to life...
They often mention a bright light, interactions with beings of light, interactions with family members, religious figures, God, etc. It seemed to prepare me a bit for the news about all of those people who died today in that earthquake.
I was wondering if any of you have had an NDE and what happened as a result?
What was the experience like?
Did you have any feeling of expanded awareness?
Was there a past life review?
Did you hear or see things others confirmed later?
How did your life change after the experience?
What learnings did you bring back?
Have you found that you are more loving and compassionate than before?
What would you like to tell people about life and dying?

I have actually had one. Once during foot surgery, the doctor seemed to have given me too much anesthesia, and the last thing I remember hearing was "omg, you gave her too much, you'll kill her!" I went out and all was dark, when I opened my eyes, I saw a man standing next to me in a doctor uniform. He was oriental, and he smiled, it was a bright smile. I could hear my surgery and at one point saw myself. He said it was not my time, he told me I'd be ok. So then when I came too I was out of the operating room and in the recovery room. How it happend I don't know, but I was told that man I saw, used to work at the hospital, but had passed away, exactly a year to the date that I had my surgery.
I felt happy and elated. Since then I've realized that when one passed they eiether stay to be guardian to someone else, or they move on.

Thanks for sharing about that man that you saw... I appreciated hearing about the guardian role that he assumed for you. He sounded like he was very kind.
