I HAVE a friend who has a rodent problem. I will mention this to him. It makes sense. I know I get a stomach ache if i drink an excessive amount of carbonated products.

I don't know if this thing is true or not...I saw the linked Article, and thought it looked like an interesting topic for a discussion, but it does seem a bit inhumane to try and make them explode from gas! That's all you need is popped rodents laying around where you can't get at them...

Wow! This is new information to me! Sounds like an easy way to get rid of rodents infestation in one's house. All you need is a can of soda, and you can be rat free. One thought crossed my mind, however. If soda can be lethal to rats, I wonder, how bad can it be for us? Think about it. If it can kill rats, maybe we too should not be ingesting this stuff.

Have you ever tested this theory? Once i heard that baking soda attracts them. They eat it and it gives em gas. They die cause they can't pass gas. Well, i put it to the test. I actually caught a mouse in a trap. Caught by the foot so it only had a broken leg. I put it in an aquarium w/lid. Put in a jar lid filled with baking soda. It ate from the lid but nothing happen. Not even after 48 hrs.
