Ok today they paid me my first pay out on mylot, it was put into my paypal account. Now that I have $11.34 in my account, I am not very familiar with paypal and I looked but did not see what I was looking for, what can you do with it once it is in your paypal account. I will not add my checking account to the account as I know paypal accounts are hacked all the time, so please tell me will it just lay in there or are there places on the internet that you can pay for items with pay pal

You can use hte money you have in paypal to buy stuff online. A lot of stores will accept paypal payment online. That's what i use mine fore, to buy myself something I really want :) Or I move it into my bank savings account. But you don't have your bank connected with paypal so you can only shop online! :)Which is always fun anyways! =P lol *I wish paypal had like...interest* lol

Paypal does have interest bearing accounts. It's called Money Market. You earn around 3% per month depending on what amount is in your account. I just got paid on May 3, 2008 for Dividend From PayPal - Money Market. I have 2 accounts there a business account as well as a personal account. I have been using them for years and never had a problem.

I myself have so many questions about paypal. thanks for posting this discussion, I learn many things from your friends replies here. I am expecting my first payout next month, at least as early as now, I know how to use the money when it will be enough already.

i already use paypal so far for 1 year but never have trouble about my balance getting hacked by someone. paypal is secure enough than e-gold depend on my experience. for your safe, its better not to put much amount in any e-currency cause they are still third party and although minmize risk, still have possibility to get scammed and hacked. my last balance in paypal already there for more than 6 months and it was about $100 before i decided to transfer it some and spending it to online buying. so, the thing that you should be concern about how safe your way to access your paypal account. it will be more safe if you access it through your personal computer than in public computer cause you can put some application as like key logger to avoid someone hi-jack your account

Lots of places accept PayPal, eBay, etc. Most anyone that sells items on their website accepts it. I've been using PayPal for years and have had hundreds of transactions going back and forth - to my bank account, from my bank account, payment for eBay items, and receipt of payment for eBay items. Never had a problem in the world. Your bank account could probably be hacked just as easily as PayPal could. I've not known a single person that ever had a a problem with PayPal.

I know overstock.com takes paypal and so does ebay. I have bought at both places myself. I am not really sure about anywhere else that will take paypal.

i got so many emails saying that I need to update my paypal info, credit card numbers, bank account numbers, I contacted paypal about this and was told the way to make sure that it was not a scam was that if or when paypal sends you an email they will call you by your name, and if when you open these emails and it does not call you by your name it is a scam to try and get your infomation. It got so bad that paypal notified me that they was putting a block on my account so that no one could get any information from or about me. I immediately pulled my bank account from them and changed accounts. My son also had trouble with them, he is a graphic designer and he set up a website to do work from home and have payment going to paypal, he lost a large amount of money through hackers, it was a while back at least a couple years, they still have money in my account that I can not get to, not much but mine anyway. when I cam here I found I had to set up a account with them, so I emailed them and ask how to do it when I already had an account and they never replied back, so I just started a new one. Then I emailed them and ask how to tranfer the amount I have in the other account and still not heard from them, so I figure that amount is gone. They maybe safer to us now a days, but any time you put your banking info on line there is a chance it will be stolen. I had online banking with Sky Bank and they let $2505. go out of my account to some place over seas, it took me making a police report to make them stop letting the money go. While I did get the money back, it took 6 months and i had to pay all the over draft checks and charges. No matter how safe a site says it is there are ones out there that can find a way to get into it, and I think it is a shame. I will use my money on the sites that take paypal. Be careful

I think the best way is to apply for a debit card if you want to feel the money on the palm of your hand. :) I have also my first payout in my paypal and haven't transferred it cos I have yet to apply for a debit card. Congrats on your payment, by the way! Good luck and cheers!

Congratulations on your first payout here at myLot! You must be very happy! Anyway, you can use the money in your PayPal account for some online transactions. Like you can use it to buy stuffs from ebay or other similar sites. If you are not comfortable with that, you can always apply for a debit card so you can use the money from your PayPal account. Take care!

There are some sites that you can pay with paypal such as ebay. You can also transfer it to your bank if you have one. I was going to do that but for amount under £50 they charge you 25p so I might let it build up and then transfer it across!! Congratulations on reaching payout.
