I have been searching for a job for months. And no I do not mean internet work. I have submitted resumes put in so many applications and still nothing. I started looking for a job in September Its not the middle of may and still nothing. Some of you maybe thinking that I'm just not trying, but thats not true. No one is hiring. I have tried and tried again and still nothing. Am I the only one having this problem?

With the economy getting the way it is, jobs are going to not only be harder to get but harder to hold b/c as more ppl have less to spend stores and such will cut back on help in order to keep going. I'd say if you have a job, hold on to it for as long as possible. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I am not currently employed, my job had went to a different state in the beginning of September, It was good money I was so bummed when it all happened. I have been looking for employment since than, And I fear the wait is gone to be even longer now with all the high school and college kids going on summer break there will be even less jobs.

I really hate coming here and seeing this. I really need a job. I'm home for the summer (I'm a pretty broke college kid) that really needs to find a job and I'm almost afraid to put in for some. I've applied for the past three summers and nothing. It's made me afraid to apply for jobs because no one wants to hire me and because people need jobs so much there just aren't any available.

I'm sorry to hear you're having so much trouble. It's definitely not just you. I think right now is just a really bad time to find employment, cause I know other people who are having a really hard time right now too. I am back in school at the moment, so it's not an issue for me yet, but I'll be searching for a job probably this summer or else this coming fall and I'm already getting pretty nervous about it! My husband's career causes us to move around every few years, so it's going to be really tough to keep finding new jobs all the time!

I know a few of my friends are having the same problem as I am. I even turned around and said that I would work anywhere for the moment just to have some income coming in. But like I said No one is hiring. And I know its gone to get even harder with summer just right around the corner.

no phillygirl, you're not the only one having that problem, there were tons of people desperately looking for a job and not only limited to the country you belong but in most third world country, even in most advanced city, there were still job problem. My point here is, since its really hard to find job nowadays, its not the reason for any individual to give up and despair. All happens at the right moment so maybe this is not yet your turn. Just wait patiently my fellow, something out there are set aside just for you, do not lost your faith.. Goodluck!

Lol it may not be my time but my bills sure say that it is. They do not want to hear that I am out of work. And it amazes me how our president says we are not in a recession, there are no jobs and prices are rising so drastically.

It's a hard time to be looking for work. Around here, it does seem like there are a lot of jobs, but in other areas, there's nothing. It can be so frustrating to keep looking and looking.

No its not just you, I just got a job offer last week, after searching for one since last August!!! The way the economy is now, its hurting businesses as well as individuals. Jobs are few and far in between. The only thing I can say is keep working at it, submit your resume to every job site you can think of, and keep applying and praying that something will come. God will answer your prayers, just keep the faith.

It seems like it's going nowhere, but hopefully something will come through soon. I know what people mean now when they say it's a job just looking for a job because it certainly has been.

There is still hope I believe. What I usually do when I am looking for job is check the internet. I check the sites that has several job offerings and postings in them. For the jobs in my country, I usually check jobstreet and jobsdb. I even have an account there. Good luck.

Its not that whole aspect thats depressing. The depressing part is not being able to pay the bills. To know that my son's tuition is raising in September and not knowing how I am gone to pay it. My son's father is not in the picture in anyway so I am basically on my own on this, my parents help but I cannot expect to pay a 3,000 dollar school bill.

It is not just a problem for you. I live in Australia and we are supposed to have more jobs than people looking for work and yet I could not find one. Even though they say there is a severe shortage of people, I have a university degree and 2 postgrad diplomas in teaching and business and my last job was a high level admin position I found that most employers regarded me as too old. I am 51 with a strong employment history. This is in an economy where they are telling retirees to go back to work because the workforce needs them. I do not know who to believe. In the last year my health has declined so much I am now too sick to work. There is also the problem that the longer you are out of work the less likely they are to consider you as employable. It is like a catch 22 situation. You have to have a job to be able to get another job.

Well there are a lot of factors to consider about the issue. Is your resume is attracts attention or not. Are you applying for the right position or you got the the right qualifications? What ever it may be lets hope and pray that it is for the better of the company as well as yours.

I know it's hard to get the right job. One question... Have you created an account with monster job site? If not, please create one and post your resume. Let me know what kind of job you are looking for. May be I can search a few jobs and send it to you. Let me know if you encounter any problem in creating and posting your resume on monster, as I am technically good at those sites.

Hello phillygirl, I am not yet qualified to work here not until i will get all the documents needed and I hope it will not be that long for me to find a job. Maybe try to pose your resume to more than one site and also when you are driving around, try also to look for signs if there are hiring! I have a friend who got 2 jobs online after 2 months trying! I know you will just get soon, maybe need more sites!

No, it's not just you. I've been looking for at least a part time job during the last few months with no success either. The available jobs in my area are few and far between so I have had to shift my search parameters to nearby areas to increase my potential matches. Unfortunately, hubby got laid off today so it makes it even more important to find something soon. Hopefully, now that I can actively start searching again, I'll be able to find something soon, even if I have to accept less than I'm asking for. I can't say I like that idea, but like you, the bills will start piling up soon here too. Hope you've had a change in status since your last update.

Don't lose faith your not alone, I had a job hunt that lasted over a year. And in the end I ended up with a part-time minor job that cannot even pay half of my bills. But all of that aside, we just need to pursue our dreams. And hopefully the sun will come out.

I am also having this problem. I am a fresh graduate (I just graduated this February) and I've submitted my resumes even before I've graduated. I've been waiting for their call but no sir, no calls from them. I've had a job that only lasted for 2 weeks cos I didn't enjoy it and I only got the job cos my friend's family owns the company. So right now, I'm still enjoying my waiting but can't wait for an hotels' call anytime. :) Cheers and good luck to us!
