Hi! Welcome to myLot. you know might I suggest that when you are posting in a native language you should also put in the English translation of it so everybody can relate to your experience. Its what I do and its just a thought.^_^ Well, anyways about your experience, you cant really blame those who ask. Maybe they just think that you look fine to have to need glasses. But I do admit that its a bit annoying sometimes especially when you're not in the mood. I guess those kinds of common sense questions are pretty common in our country and it just doesnt end up in the 'glasses area'. It also extends to places liek when you a friend sees you about to go inside the church then he/she still asks "Masimba ka?"(in Tagalog: "Magsisimba ka ba?")(in English: "Are you attending mass?"). Like duh, isnt it obvious? Sometimes I just laugh it off. Other times I just ignore it too. About the glasses, I remember a time in elementary that glasses were cool. When you have or wear glasses even if your are are not blurry or the glasses doesnt have any grade(high or low), other students will be envious of you. There was also the trend/fad of braces. When you have both(glasses and braces) you're like the coolest of cool people int the class. So its been sort of a footnote to ask "Malabo na ba mata mo?" or "Sira ba ngipin mo?" or "Sungal ka ba?"^_^

yes people do ask the most obvious questions, myself included. Some time they are just trying to make conversation. I've asked questions like 'oh you've got a new hair cut'. That is pretty obvious as the person's hair was missing inches! I wear glasses too and the question I usually get asked is why didn't I get contact lenses. Some times I'll explain that I've got sensitive eyes so I can't. Other times I'll just smile and shrug off the question. Cheers ;)
