how to get rid of a cold sore

any ideas i got one this morning before my job interview any ideas on what to use to make it go away quicker i have chap stick but is there anything else

I usually put ice on it, it stops if from swelling and it doesn't get so bad. I also put some perfume on it which helps to dry it out. I really hate cold sores! Luckily I haven't had one for a while.
