I know what you both mean but mine wasn't my own child it was somebody else's. It was last night, Halloween and this little boy was running, I saw whom I assumed to be his mother walking, yelling at him to stop, come back and he was darting behind cars and cars were coming. I couldn't watch anymore I took off after him. She wasn't even running just walking like she had no care in the world. When obviously the yelling wasn't working wouldn't you assume she'd take off running? I was VERY scared for the child and VERY upset with the mother! He was fine and of course she got some rude comments from me. I didn't stay to listen to her ranting and raving at me because even though I try to be a good person I probably would've hauled off and punched her in the nose!
