Well, firstly, you need an interesting topic. With an interesting topic that everyone can relate to, you'll def. get more responses for your discussion. Try to share your own reflections and feelings about the topic you have posted to share with the rest, and the rest would then be more eager to respond to your discussion. Also, should respond in good english, so everyone can read what you are writing properly.

I think really it just all depends on what the discussion is about and how many people have that same interest.
One thing you might consider doing is using your own unique avatar. Sometimes the plain one kind of camoflouges you with the other people who have the same avatar.

there is no hard and fast rule about more responses. but u cn use some basic rules like starting discussions which are easy to understnd, intersting and written in simple language. try not goin into complicated problems. although u cn discuss thm but thn try using simpler language so tht the actual content is understood.

Hello!
I am a pretty new user, and I found that you get a lot more responses when you start a discussion under topics that people view frequently. The more people that has signed up for the interest that you put the discussion under, the more people can see it and respond to it.
Other general suggestions is to put a good header, explaining what the discussion is really about, and write well and clearly what your question is about or what you want to discuss. I myself also prefer when the posting has good spelling and grammar.
Also, give the posters credit by using the "best answer"- function and plus or minus for positive or negative answers. (Obviously don't use to many negative answers for people to want to respond!)
Good luck with your posting!
