When you camping do you take the RV with everything, or do you take the tent and go with out? I prefer tent camping when I can, but I do have a simple camper that is just simple creature comforts.

We always take the tent, we have two a smaller one that fits on the harley and a bigger one that we take when we are going to the camp ground where we usually go camping. We don't really see it as going without, since if you are staying at a campground they usually have showers, a small store, etc. We normally take a radio with us, and cell phones, but they are off unless we are checking for messages, mainly just incase there was a family emergency come up.

Sounds like when you go out camping it comes with the great freedom of the road. How I envy you, hope you have a lot of fun this summer.

We usually take a tent, last time I went camping I got a cold... we were lying there looking at the stars, with the fly cover off, and fell asleep... I woke up soaking wet, it was raining, and somehow my boyfriend was bone dry... I got in the truck, he grabbed the tent as it was (with our stuff inside) and just threw it in the truck and took me home.... he really loves me...lol

Never fails when your camping in a tent it rains. But you did mention the beautiful about tents you can just grab and run.

My family loves tenting, but I'm not overly fond of it. Camping is only fun to me because we go as a big group and have a lot of fun. If I was rich enough my philosophy would be - Roughing it is staying at a hotel without a spa. LOL
