Best for berries

Over the weekend I have purchased some blueberry bushes and some raspberry bushes. What type of sunlight and soil is best for these sweet summer fruits?

Blueberries and raspberries like a sunny location with well draining rich soil. The easiest way to attain this is to add sand, compost as well as some peat to the soil. Maintain it by providing organic matter or compost as a mulch. They also like acidic soil. The peat should help to lower it.

I think blueberries like sandy soil. They told me at the gardening center you should plant two for cross pollination.
