very vague question---"proper education" in what? But if you mean academic education I'll say not really. It does depend on what you put into it, but the public academic curriculum is a mess. Just look at lets say.....graduation rates, school violence, and national test scores.

That would all depend on what sort of eduation was needed. What I find odd is children today are learning more, and at a faster rate, than we did as children. My kindergartners can read almost as well as my fifth grader. I don't remember being able to read until 1st grade. In preschool, my kids had to learn their ABC's prior to entering kindergarten, and they had to be able to write their names and recognize most of the letter and the sounds they make. When I was in school, those were the sorts of things taught in kindergarten. My 5th grader is already learning algebra and all those weird equations such as X(y)+Z(y)=N. I didn't study that until high school, and even then I didn't understand it, but here I am supposed to be able to help my 11 year old understand it. Hmmf!

Hi friend, In our country, education plays a vital role.If we really like to start a bussiness it is better to start a educational related bussiness so that u would become a millionare for the next two years. So u can imagine how much crazy people are.Coming to standards of education. We are studying one in our college or school life we are doing work entirely different from our education.I think now a days people are not getting proper education.Every body are byhearting things, they are very good at theory but coming to practical they are becoming zero.I feel the educational system should start a practical related studies apart from theory related studies. So that student will be benefited so much in coming futures. What do u say friend,am i right have a nice day

I think it depends on where you go to school and the school and administration itself. Some schools are doing a wonderful job of educating youth and others fall far short of educating at all. Some kids have different learning styles and many schools are not recognizing that or doing anything to help these kids. Most kids with different learning styles are being labeled learning disabled and this is not always the case. My oldest son, for instance, can do algebra in his head. He just sees the answer. He is right 95% of the time but because he would not write out the work the teacher would often fail him. He doesn't learn this way. He doesn't need to write out the work because it comes naturally. The school wanted to get him a tutor or put him in a special class. I was furious. He wasn't having trouble learning, he just did the work differently and for that he was penalized. These types of things need to be addressed and stop happening. If a child is getting the answers correct and can prove they are doing the work themselves then they should be seen as gifted not troubled.
