I love this book otherwise I love all from Sheakspeare. It is a simple story about ambition and how a woman can destroy a man. I watched the movie too but I still prefer the book. And You, what you think about this book?

I love Shakespeare. It is better performed than read, though. Macbeth will always be one of my favorites.

I love this play and have read it 4 or 5 times but I do love seeing it performed more. I've seen it performed a couple of times and its always great on stage.

Macbeth..... my favourite Shapespeare story. Macbeth is the first Shakespeare book that I read, it was in the second year of secondary school. My english teacher at that time was awful, she killed the story for me even before we had got a quarter of the way through the book, and didn't explain anything etc. So I really hated the whole thing about the book, the author and didn't get to understand any of it. I left secondary school and then went on to further education for one year. I had to study english . The english teacher was fab, the second best english teacher I have ever had(the other one was when I did my CSE english, last two years of secondary school). One day the english teacher came with copies of Macbeth!!! My heart sank into my shoes and I though Oh my god, not that book again!! But we started reading it, she explained things, a few pages into the book and I was hooked, I couldn't get enough, and had to buy my own copy and read it to the end before we finished it in the lesson. She arranged for us to go and see it at the threatre, it was fab. I then went on to read some more Shakespeare and go to the thretre to see them. I don't think it was being older than it made it good for me, but the teacher. I am so pleased that you enjoyed the book.

I did enjoy studying this play in school. I wasn't particularly fond of the teacher, but that's another story. It's not too complex a story, but there are many hidden things you can find if you examine it. You mentioned that you saw the movie, which version did you see? I'm pretty sure there's many different movie adaptations of Macbeth, ranging from merely filed plays to heavily theatrical movies.

Of all of the Shakespeare plays I have read, Macbeth was my favorite. And funnily, it is the one that they are not sure if he truly was the sole author.
