The sound of Spanish gutar is just fantastic! I would really like to learn to play it. But I have heard it is better first to 'handle' acoustic guitar, and only then swich to Spanish guitar. Does any one have learned to play Spanish guitar, what is it mainly different from usual guitars? Is it difficult to pick up the skill to play Spanish gutar? If about the well known musicians in this field, I like the play of Marcos Valle. Gipsy King is legend, of course, but better I like slower and smoother chords.

I've always loved the way Spanish guitar players are so flawless with their acts. I've yet to master that form of guitar playing. I consider myself a lead guitarist because of how I play. I know how you can learn it. Make sure you have a music player on your computer that has the ability to slow the track down. Then you look up the tabs for the music. Play along with it slowly until your speed increases. I guarantee you will learn in time.

Interesting advice, thanks! I will consider it in the future if I have chance to take a try at learning to play Spanish guitar! However, do You know how many strings Spanish guitar has? As much I know, there are more then usual guitar has.

I, too, like the sound of the Spanish guitar. I would think it is harder to play although I'm sure there are many people who have learned on it. I do have one friend who is into guitars and he learned first on an acoustic (after learning on a regular guitar, then electronic, then bass, etc. he does a lot of different string intsruments).

The first time I paid some significant attention to the marvellous sound of Spansih guitar was when I attended the flamenco show be Thomass De Madrid, 6 years ago. It was a very colourful, impressive and exciting show, so I suggest You to go to watch some flamenco performance, if You have not tried it so far.
