KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - A Malaysian woman woke up to a real-life nightmare, discovering that the naked man who had slipped into her bed in the middle of the night was a thief, not her husband, a newspaper said on Tuesday. The 36-year-old housewife was asleep when the thief, noticing that her husband was fast asleep on the couch, quietly stripped off and lay down beside her, the Star newspaper said, quoting a police report filed in the eastern state of Terengganu. The dozing woman's suspicions were raised when she spoke to him and his voice sounded strange, the paper said. "She then went to another room and found her husband fast asleep on the couch. That's when she screamed, causing the thief to flee by leaping out the window together with the stolen items," it added To me, this should be a lesson to the husbands who sleep on the couches! Mylotters, what is your opinion on this incident?

Gosh Urban, Take your mind for screening! You always got an answer or a funny comment on something. Thats was a nice thought indeed but why would she go to the other room to check whether husband was there?

Hi kwenge, you are from Kenya, aren’t you? I never thought that you did pay attention to the news about the incident that happened in my country. According your information, I think there might be some problem between the couple otherwise they wouldn’t sleep in the separate room at night. It is rather unbelievable that a couple of such young age wouldn’t sleep together in the same bed. This gives the opportunity for the occurrence of the undesirable affair. I suggest that husband and wife should sleep together even though they are not in good term or just after quarreling. Anyway, wives need to be aware of the possibility that female thief to sleep by the side of the husband.

So it happened in your hometown! Gosh, I paid attention because of the drama involved. It kind of confusing. Even a 90 year old couple should not sleep in different rooms, I'd rather different beds in the same room. What if the guy was watching TV and he dozd off? This raises soo many questions. It was more than meets the eye! Thanks for your response.

I am pretty sure if I thought it was my husband and he sounded funny I would be sitting up and looking him in the eye to figure out why. I suppose she did the right thing so she didn't get hurt. I would be the one saying what are you doing in my bed? I know I would do this because I had a young man standing over me once when I was sleeping on the couch and instead of screaming I said what are you doing in my house? Everything turned out OK for me and I was able to get him out the door and jump back inside and lock the door behind me then called the police. He was found later as he beat another person up the block in their home while the police were at mine. I was lucky but it is very scary waking up to someone in your home that does not belong there.

Yea, I guess she did the right thing! If it were me I think shouting would have been the first option, I could not have thought to go to the other room to confirm first whether its not my hubby. The only question I have is this! Did this thief break into the house or he found door or a window open? Gosh, its indeed a nightmare! Scarry ehe!.

The Phantom SPOON burglar strikes again! The Husband must sleep like a Log-how the heck does a stranger get into your house when You're both Home, rob the place, get into bed beside the wife-She talks to Him,gets out of bed LEAVING Him there, and it's only when She sees the husband on the couch in the other room realises the strange voice in Her Bed wasn't his,and THEN screams? And STILL the Guy got away with the Loot! I can hear my CAT moving around the house!

This is the most weird crap I have ever heard! This couple is just funny. Can it be assumed that the guy was over drunk? And the lady was dreaming making love to her husband? Gosh!

LOL I just read that article to my s/o last night, and told him 'darlin you're not sleeping on the couch anymore!' LOL of course the thief would have to push my 80 lb dog off the bed first lol What got me about that story was, she got suspicious because he sounded strange, hello? I'm thinking when I looked over and saw a strange man in my bed, I wouldn't have waited til I walked in the other room to scream! It all just sounded really strange, but then again fact can be stranger than fiction.
