Pretty accomplished this morning

I'm always doing a million different things, or so it seems. I've always got my day job, and then typically have some sort of project or twelve going on the side. I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself this morning, though, as I figured out a good way to make one of those side projects work a bit more efficiently. It's only 7:30 a.m. here, and I've already accomplished several things this morning. My theory is that if I get it done now, it won't be lurking in the back of my mind all day. For those who are similarly overachievers (*grin*), do you find that you work better for the day when you get a lot done right away in the morning? Or do you prefer to take the morning easy and work more in the later parts of the day?

Congratulations! It is a good feeling to accomplish a lot especially early in the day. Just like you I prefer to get things done early, so I can use the rest of my day to slow down. One thing that would usually help me focus is making a to-do list. Everytime I checked off an accomplished task, I feel good. The only problem is to be consistent. I have to admit that there are days when I don't feel like doing anything, and would ignore my list, but usually, once I get going, I get into the groove of things.

If I take it easy in the morning, then I won't get anything done that day - I have to start out strong, and then I usually get a lot done.

Freak! Mornings are for sleeping. Noon is for getting things done. Did you finish the indexing from hell? I actually feel best when I accomplish something big first thing in the morning...it makes the whole day go right.

i am like that as well. i hate to sit around and do nothing, even while i watch tv i am working on something (right now it is a crocheted scarf for a friend of my daughters) i go on the computer before work and eat breakfast while i am on...i must be one of the original multi taskers! i work best in the morning hours too, so i get up early as well to get some stuff done before i go to work (i work from 9 - 1).
