Total Exhaustion Catching Up!

Well my friends a lot of you know that I don't sleep very well at the best of times and most of you know that I had a bit of a problem with my daughter being attacked at school too, well since then I haven't slept and have been in turmoil and now I am afraid it is catching up on me - my eyes are so heavy and gritty , my head is too heavy for my neck and I have a cold flannel on my forehead as it is burning up! I have been trying to catch up on discussions all day and seem to be going backwards rather than forwards! I am giving in and logging out for tonight - I think I will actually sleep as I have spoken to Niamh's school again today and the matter is being taken seriously and the staff are also aware of the problem with these 2 boys - although they are not able to tell me specifics I understand that there are different support agencies involved with the families who have also been notified of what has happened! Sorry if this doesn't make any sense to anyone but me - I can't even tell what sounds right or not just now! I am afraid there are a few (well quite a few) discussions I wanted to respond to but won't be able to - if you don't hear from me in some discussions - it is not you , nor the discussions it is just that I am accepting my limitations! Yes, really! lol Hopefully see you all tomorrow where I will be bright eyed and bushy tailed(????) and ready to get my teeth in some great discussions! lol have a great night/day (depending on your time zone, have fun and play nice! G'night! xxx

Once upon a time there was a beautiful Scottish lady who gave all her love to not only her family but to all her friends too. She had many many friends too. Even when she didn't want to, she still cared and supported for them like they were family too. But one day, when she was very tired and the bullies at her daughter's school had been nasty, and she may have been feeling under the weather anyway, she went to bed and had a lovely sleep. All of her friends were delighted that she managed to do that. They owed her so much that they just wanted her to be better very soon. When she awoke the next day she felt.......... Shush, she's asleep boys and girls. Doesn't she look peaceful sleeping there. Let's all kiss her softly and whisper that we love her, I don't think that we'll wake her if we're gentle. XX

Thank you. Mummymo means so much to so many of us and in so many different ways. But there is one common strand. She gives of her self so freely that we all feel cared for and loved by her. I can't tell you how much I love her.

Sugar, you are making perfect sense. I understand completely. i am sort of over come with work right now as I was yesterday, I was not able to get on at all, well that is after I did finally sign out myself yesterday morning. I am thrilled that the school is taking this event seriously as they should be. You go rest your head, we will all be here tomorrow. Love you Mo.

Get your head down mummymo, a couple of pain killers and a long long sleep. It works wonders. I hope the nasty inccident at school gets sorted, that was some heavy stuff from a couple of 6 year olds.!!! I cannot believe that could happen, one of the things schools teach children is to keep their hands to them selves not to touch others in any way at all!!!??!! It seams this school has failed to do this! I would be asking for a meeting of the governors to see what they have to say. I was a LEA (Local Educational Authority) Governor and I found that not all the rules were being keeped by the school. A lot of bullies got away with frightening the younger children, because Heads say there is no bulling going on in my school!!! Its obvious they are not in touch with the pupils and that is bad. Keep pushing you dont want this happening again, these boys might do this in later years! Your poor beautiful daughter what a violation she must have been so scared. It makes me so angry, she should feel safe at school! Lots of hugs for her. Pat.

That is exactly what I did sweetheart - well I got 3 hours sleep which is great for me and I rested lots too! I think it is awful the way problems are swept under the carpet at many school but I have to say I am lucky as that is not the case in my daughters school! Thank you so much Pat - I appreciate your support and your advice - I will email you in a bit! xxx

Don´t worry about catching up. Your health is more important and you must look after yourself. This is rich coming from me, lol. I can hardly ever sleep before 3am. I´ve been thinking a lot about the problem that Niamh has had at school. It´s a huge relief to me that at least it´s being taken seriously and that they are trying to find a solution. I think you made perfect sense here, your discussion is not confusing. Accepting your limitations is a good attitude, I´m still learning and haven´t passed beginner´s stage yet, silly me. Take care. A big hug to you and don´t come back unless you´re eyes are at their brightest. XXX Dana

I take a siesta now and again, but only if my husband does. Don´t worry, this won´t be classified as mature content, lol. The reason is that he´s got a build in alarm clock and always manages to wake me up somehow. A hammer on the head usually does the trick. If it wasn´t for him I´d sleep for hours, wake up in a lousy mood and probably stay up until my daughter gets up to go to school, lol. It´s normal here to see even very small children outside very late at night, we used to do the same thing. Just a way of life. Saves money for babysitters :-))

LOL I can just picture your husband looking at the clock - hammer in his hand ready to waken you up! lol I thought it was wonderful that everyone was so family orientated - no trouble, no louts no fighting just families out talking, sharing and loving - it was so nice! xxx

LOL Do you a deal Dana dearest - I will get some more rest if you do - we can study for beginners limitations together! Do you ever take a siesta? I remember when visiting my brother in Spain - I couldn't believe the families that were out eating and spending time outside with very young children at 1, 2 and 3 in the morning! Thank you for caring so much about my family and I - love to you and yours! xxx

Hello mummymo!:-) Though I am not aware of all the details of the case of your daughter (I'll try to see past discussions, if there are any) but your remaining awake, getting worried, tired and exhausted in this situation is quite natural and understandable. I know that when my child was in hospital, I couldn't sleep at all even though they were thousands of miles away. I am sorry about whatever incident happened to your girl and I am glad that the School Authorities are taking it very seriously and are determined to sort it out. I would hope that it is dealt in the best possible way. I think your friends would be more happy if you take rest and sleep and get refreshed than to try to catch up on their discussions that may result in your bad health. So, sleep well, my friend, and don't take it too hard on yourself! Good night!:-)

You are most welcome, mummymo. Becoming myself a parent cleared many things for me. I couldn't believe that I would be this much in love with my child as I am and I don't know how much I am. He is around 16 months now. He got into hospital for the first time late last year for travelers diarrhea and remained there for about 5 days. Not only he but his mother became a worry for me as she constantly remained awake for 4 days. I am in habit of remaining awake for extended periods but she wasn't. It was the first time that I realized, profoundly, how painful it is to see one's child in trouble. He is very fine now, growing at his pace, funny and entertaining that he is, LOL! Thank you for your concerns. And, being a parent myself now, helps me understand the problems of other parents. I hope all will be fine and well taken care of!:-)

To be honest, I got a little angry with my wife when she didn't sleep for so many days. Her mother was at the hospital too, and my mother also went for a day as we live in different cities. I asked her that they are there so take some rest especially when our son started getting better the 3rd day. She wouldn't listen and told me that she can't even if she tried. I got more worried for her from 3rd day on than I was for our child as he was improving and there were people to take care. She did get her normal sleep back afterwards but not as much as she was able to before he was born. She is a doctor and has delayed her house job for him to grow enough that he could be taken care of by his grandmother. She has joined a second house job after leaving one for some reasons. After every couple of days, she has 30 hours duty, otherwise it is 6 hours a day. So, you can imagine that it is still difficult for her to get enough time to sleep especially when she takes charge of our son in normal days. You are so right that it is very difficult for a person to understand the delights and worries of parents unless one is a parent oneself. I thought I did, when I wasn't a parent, but I was so off the mark. It's a complete different world that can't be "felt" unless one enters into it.

I should think that the matter with your daughter is being taken seriously, poor little thing. It needs to be stopped now while they are young enough to maybe be dealt with. I know how you feel, I felt like you, yesterday with the stress over my eldest. My head was so off that I just kept feeling nauseous and my eyes went all puffy and horrible. It was horrible and to be honest bed is the best place for you, do not worry about discussions at all!! To tell you the truth I have that many to get through I think it is going to take me at least a week to catch up.

That's sucks, about your daughter. I hope everything is sorted out quickly. Yeah, you are exhausted because you are using all of your emotions from recent events. I've had upsetting things happen to me and the first thing I feel is exhaustion. Make sure you at least rest your head, even if you can't sleep.

Hi Morag dear. As you know I'm here nearly every day and for several hours a day but my connection is slow so I'm always way behind with things it seems. I don't worry about it any more and I don't think we should worry about answering things immediately. The things going on with you are far more important and in this particular case some closure must be required before you can rest easily. Getting your sleep is vital to good health sweety so please try and have a couple of little rests during the day if you can. I hope Niamh is none the worse for the experience.
