Early to bed and Early to rise they say keeps you healthy wealthy and wise....Is this true in its real sense....Because as a child we learn this but then later as we begin working and earning we see that this doesnt really fit the bill or so i feel...to earn more you need to work more and so it depends on what jobs people do...we have many working in different shifts so how or where does this phrase then fit....Are you one of those who believe and act to this phrase...do you think this is really true that you dont have any health issues...and is this the right phrase as such...Please share your ideas ....

I am completely opposite to this. I have a very bad habit of working till late in the nite and getting up very late in the morning. NO matter how hard i try i just cannot get up early in the morning. :( ~Pinks~

its absolutely true. I used to follow it before but nowdays my schedule is pretty much opposite to it. I go to bed very late at night and wake up very late too. :( Well I am really trying to change this habbit of mine and its 2.00 a.m. :P

I do think that's the right phrase, and I followed it when I was younger. But after I started highschool have I started to sleep really late and almost can not wake up for school.

well i find that i work best in the morning and am pretty exhausted by the evening, so i usually get up around 7 and am in bed by about 10:30 or so and fall right to sleep. i think it depends on when you are at your peak, some people do better in the morning and some at night.

Hi devtina, I really do not think it matters what time you get in a proper "eight or nine hours" of sleep. If I am more productive at midnight than at seven in the morning i will stay up late. Yes i may miss all the morning activities the world has to offer when the birds start signing., but what did the early bird miss when the bats came out?

well if i understand you right by what your saying its just that we need those many hours of sleep and it doesnt matter when you take it according to the work you do...hmmm well makes me think so too.....so the phrase doesnt really hold good here ....what say??
