I've heard many people said that there are vegetables that can really prevent cancer. I have no idea of what are the specific vegetables. Are those things available in our market? Those of you who know about it, can you share it? Thanks

Garlic, cabbage, ginger, soyabeans, carrots, celery, cilantro, parsley, parnship have the highest contents of detoxifying enzymes that prevent cancer. Onions, flaxseed, citrus, broccoli, brussel sprouts and cauliflower, peppers and tomatoes (because of the lycopene) do also have but only modest anti-cancer activities. You see these veggies are not only anti-cancer but are also good for the heart, kidneys, liver, colons and over-all function of our entire system. So let us all eat vegetables and stay healthy till the end of our life! We can not avoid getting old and die at our appointed time, but we can always keep ourselves healthy and somehow avoid dying before our time! God bless!

On of the vegetables that is really good for cancer prevention is carrot. Its the carotine (the orange colour in carrot) that works well on canser prevention. For better absorption of carotine in body, I would make carrot juice and drink it raw without sugar or cream. You may not like the taste the first time but once you get used, I am sure you will enjoy drinking it. There is a difference between eating raw carrot and drinking carrot juice. If you check articles on juice therapy, you will discover that taking vegetables and fruits in the form of juice, your body will absorb the vitamin better and faster.

So he is using the cancer prevention everyday. lol. Well, I would love to make carrot juice. And mixed it with lemon and honey. Thanks for sharing.

Almost any brightly or deeply colored vegetable will give us nutrients that help us fight disease and cancer (tomatoes, peppers, green beans, etc.) Try to reduce the amount of light colored vegetables in your diet, which are mostly starch. Many colorful fruits, especially berries, have antioxidants that help cleanse our body of harmful toxins.

I am a cancer survivor myself and I know that brocolli, tomatoes (although it's a fruit, they say) and carrots do prevent cancer.

First, the cause of cancer is not known to anybody and it spreads because of many reasons that are not known with clarity. When some specific body cells start growing without body's control and spread into other parts, it is cancer. Different vegetables have different effects and give you different nutrients, even those which are not known to scientists. Many vegetables give you lots of anti-oxidants which fight against free radicals which are one of the causes of cancer(as per modern science). Vegetables with good quantity of anti-oxidants are cabbage, beetroot, tomato, carrot, chillies, garlic etc. that must be available around you. If you want full benefits, eat them raw. Cooking destroys them to one tenth of their worth.
