hi, my tv is buggered

Hi, the other night i was watching my t.v and all of a sudden it started to make a crackling sound, after a while it stopped so I ignored it. I had left the room, and once i came back, the screen was black, with a slight white glow, flickering from time to time, then smoke started to come out from the back, I immediately turned it off, and dissconnected the power. A few days laterI tried to turn te t.v on, and it just makes a loud hissing sound, and I can smell smoke again. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem! The t.v is an Akai, 68cms T.V, which is probably about 8 - 10 yrs old, I want to repair it as it has never given us any trouble up until now, and the newer ones just don't last like the older ones.
