What I learned from my dad

My dad was a big fan of Dale Carnegie and he would quote the book How to Win Friends and Influence People to raise a point about something that relates to how people think and act. I guess that some of that love for self-help must have rubbed on me because I often find myself browsing the self-help section of the local bookstore. As a young boy I would get irritated whenever he would give one of his life's lessons. Have you felt that way?

My dad only came home on weekends so I would forgo hanging out with my friends on friday afternoons just to be there when my dad comes home. All my siblings are out all the time and I didn't want him to come home to an empty house.

I learnt a lot from my Dad as well, he taught me to be generous, to always be there to help people, to love animals, and to be honest..I had the best dad in the world.
