Parents passing down bad habits and fears

I was wondering, does anybody else worry about passing down their fears or bad habits to their children? I know from the perspective of a child that my mother definitly caused me to fear spiders by unintentionally passing it on by showing me her fear. On that note, she also unintentionally passed down the bad habit of picking and biting the skin around my thumbnails. My dad always has ragged on her about causing her kids to pick that stuff up, but i'm sure that I also picked up a fear of failure from him. Now i'm worried i'll do the same thing to my children. If I do though, does it even matter all that much? I mean, everyone has bad habits and fears - and maybe its just natural to pick that stuff up from your parents. Thoughts?

I worry about it all the time. I worry about everything. That's what I picked up from my mother. I always called her a worry wart and now my kids call me that. I will say that I am less so than she and I know that my kids will worry because of this but hopefully less so than I. Maybe by the time I have great-grandkids the trait will be gone. lol
