Marrying your brother/sister

This seems a very odd thing..marrying ur brother/sister has never gone down well with me...marrying distant cousins is okay but imagine a person whome u call bro/sis suddenly turn into ur spouse...Muslims(no offence plz) have this practice of brothers & sisters marrying....science also shows that children of couples with the same blood relation are born with disabilities..this shows that nature itself doesnt allow same blood offspring; then why do ppl tend to disregard nature... Ps: Use of muslim religion is not to offend muslims What do u guyz think on this topic Plz be sensitive in ur response
