Mane and Tail

I have heard a few people now say that Mane and Tail hair products are really good, and that they really help your hair grow long/strong, faster. Is this all true? Has someone here ACTUALLY used the product and have it work this way? And I was talking to my mom about it, and she said that it wouldn't be good for me because I have really oily hair. Is this true? Do they have a product that is okay with oily hair?

I once bought a product that I saw on an infomercial. It worked well for a while, then my hair started coming out by the comb full. I was so embarrassed and did not know what to do. I started using mane and tail, eureka, my hair started to grow back faster than it would had I not used it I think. I actually forgot about mane and tail, because that was a few years back. but, yes, mane and tail really does work. I do not know what to suggest to you for oily hair though.

These products were originally made for horses. They can work with certain hair types because of the way they are made. It does make your hair grow. For oily hair this will not work because it leaves an oily coating on the hair. When the hair is already oily this is not good for it. I don't think they make a product for oily hair because most horses do'nt have oily hair. Their hair is more coase.

Well, that horse thing does make sense. Horses hair usually is coarse. But I figured since they did start making the products for people too they would make new products for different hair types and change it up a bit.

Back in 2003 and 2004 mane and tail was used here in the philippines as a regular shampoo. My boss who has very thin hair used it and it really is effective in making her hair strong and thick. But now things have subsided already and it no longer a fad here.

Well my hair is already thick (I guess it could always be stronger =P lol) But what I'm wondering about is length. Will it help my hair get longer at all?

My father tried it and it really works, my father used to have this thin hair in the front but when he began using it his hair on front grow and more darkly and it became strong like their is no falling hair. Also the strand of hair that grows is very strong and thick. I try using it also and it works also for me. Yes, the product is okay for oily hair and it made my hair too shine, but i do use conditioner after because i don't like the smell. The smell is not that bad, it is not the same as other shampoo with fragrance as this shampoo is made for hair of horses anyway.

Oh that is all really good too know!! I defeniatly don't want a shampoo that is going to make my hair oily, but I do want one that will help my hair grow faster! I have pretty thick hair right now, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to have it a little thicker and tougher! =P lol. Thanks grey!!

Yes, I was a user of Tale and Mane product and they work well. YOu just have to keep using them on a regular. I didn't stop using them because they were bad; just trying other things. There prices are not bad either compared to other hair products they are reasonable. You just have to try them and see how they work for you.

Well I was on their site and I didn't see a price for the products lol. About how much are they? I'd use it everyday, is that regular enough? =P hehe. So it doesn't have a negative effect if you stop using it afte a while? Thanks!

Good discussion, I wonder if Mane and Tail works well for people with Rosacea. My scalp turns red or has allergic reactions to many shampoos. So I'd like to try it, but I'd like to hear from people who have rosacea first.
