Should John Kerry have apologised for he's remarks regarding the US troops in Iraq?

I think he did already, but as someone already said, the damage was already done.

That was the dumbest thing a politician to say!!!? He's gonna be in a lot of controversy for some time and Bush is definitely feeding on this.

I believe that what he said was unintentional, but very dumb. As a conservative, military family, we are over it!

It was unintentional because he does not write his own speeches and he got mixed up---forgot what he was 'supposed' to say and tried to improvise. He did a poor and damaging job, and what he said was ridiculous and unforgivable; but most military members are not going to lose any sleep over it. This is just my opinion of course, but I don't think the average airman/soldier/sailor/marine cares what John Kerry thinks. He has certainly lost the respect of most; if there was any for him in the first place. Most military people know his history with the military...

Regardless of his apologies the issue will never be resolved...you can not take something like that back. And his apology has left us all with the feeling of do you really take us as that big of fools?
