come to think of it, how can we tell when someone knows nothing at all or when someone knows better... why should we be bothered by who's real and who's not? when we all dig the same music for the time being. who cares if you know a lot about such and such - band history, discographies, etc. - while the others only knew of the current sound they're hearing and the lyrics they have gotten from nowhere. the point is, they've been supporting our stuffs and from scratch who knows they could be know-it-all in a snap. if some people talk too much about things like genres, bands, etc. and you know exactly what they are talking about, and you can tell whether they're telling the truth or not, then, your so-called "posers" shouldn't be a problem. then, these "posers" who are unlike you, should only serve as motivations (not annoyance) for yourself to educate them with your own knowledge of the music you dig. if it's for the sake of music, people shouldn't even be divided by genres. thus, real and fake music lovers are non-existent. we're all alike in one way or another.
