What do you intend to buy for your father for his special Day?What about your better half? What does he want?I dont know what to get for either my father or my husband.Nothing I could get my Dad could take away his hurt, this will make wexactly one year since my mom died so its going to be an awful day for everyone. And my husband is so hard to please ,he doesnt like anything except tools and I cant afford those right now,so Im stuck as to what to get.

I need some ideas too. This is my husband's first "real" father's day so I would like to do something extra special for him, and yet I'm sure he'll be working anyway.
As for my own dad I don't even remember the last time i got him a present because even though i really want to i can never think of anything he would like or needs or wants. he usually buys everything before you have a chance to buy it for him!

my dad's bday is really close to fathers day so i get away with sometimes combining his presents and get him something that is just a little bit bigger than average, but as for a present, i am totally lost.
as for my hubby, not sure what we will get him either...~sigh~

My mum's ex-husband (legally my adoptive father unfortunately) wont be getting squat from me..I've not spoken to him in 20 yrs and intend to keep it that way....MY husband however....Well the kids and I would LIKE to take him to Letchworth State Park for the day and send him off on a trail ride while the kids and I hang out at the park or something...He likes horseback riding but hasnt done it in several yrs and I know the solitude, quiet of the park (its beautiful) will do him some good ya know..And of course I make him a dinner of his choice (usually my spaghetti LOL)

My father is no longer with me, but I still like to go visit his grave and bring flowers to put down. I am also excited since my sons always take me out to eat where ever I want and do all the house hold chores for that week.

I was born on Father's Day(but since the date changes it's not on fathers day this year). None the less, my dad and I always do the same thing regardless of where we are. A lot of times we travel together around this time. Since we both have stuff we need to do over the weekend for work, we will be at home for this father's day.
We always start by going out to lunch(and usually my boyfriend comes along as well). Then we go back to his house and sit out on the porch and drink for a while. That's our little ritual. Before I was able to drink legally, I used to have lemonade, but in the past couple of years, I've stepped it up to a screwdriver.
I usually get him something that he wants as opposed to something that he needs. Last year I got him new chairs for the deck. They had just recently had the whole backyard re-done and wanted/needed new chairs. I was out at Target the following day and found the perfect set.
This year, not sure what I am going to get him. I suppose I should start looking...
