Favorite Quote: One of mine comes from The Biggest Loser Show

One of my favorite quotes comes from the theme song of "The Biggest Loser". It asks..."What have you done today to make you feel proud?" Since the show ended, I've been using this as kind of a daily mantra. It really helps me evaluate at the end of the day what I have accomplished toward my goals, or what I have done during the day to make me proud of myself. So...what have you done today to make you feel proud?

I have quite a few favorites actually. Here are a few -
Always do right, this will gratify some and astonish the rest - Mark Twain
Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or o influence over society. - Mark Twain
Everything should be as simple as it is, but not simpler - Albert Einstein
It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education. - Albert Einstein

I am very sorry, what I did to be proud of? my job is in a non- profit org so just about everyday I feel proud. Yesterday I came clean to my boss that I was looking for another job. She told me she was looking too!
It is still early today, so I guess I am proud of myself for not hitting snooze this morning!

That's wonderful. It's okay that you misunderstood what I was asking for in the discussion. I wrote it very early, and it isn't the easiest discussion for someone to get, unless the read the entire thing. So, don't be sorry, it's my fault. Hugs. BTW, you have listed some terrific other quotes. You should start a discussion on one/some of them, to get feedback on what they mean/say to others. Everyone has a different perspective. Hugs.

That's something to be proud of, especially if you have the heat we have been having here in the Northwest. It was 102 yesterday, but only supposed to be 98 today. We skipped spring and went straight to summer here, lol. :-)

I never watch this show, but I love that quote. In my mind it goes with the concept of seeking progress rather than perfection (thank you FlyLady!). If we all just try to leave things a little better than they were when we got there, no matter what the subject area, then improvement will happen.
Today I made myself proud by getting dressed and going to church even though I was feeling lazy and didn't particularly want to go. I know that I feel better about myself if I go, and I know that I want to set a good example for my son, and so I went and I'm happy I did.
I really do love this quote, and I will use it. Cheers!

Sounds like a pretty good motto to live by! I think perhaps everyone should try to make the world a better place, each day they're in it.

Hi there creativedreamweaver!
I think that's really nice. Well, what I did today that made me feel proud is that I am able to do everything that Ican as a mother for my son.
