What kind of lettuce or greens do you like to eat most:
I like eating spinach and will toss frozen spinach into many of the things that I prepare -- pasta sauses, eggs, etc. or just eat alone as a side dish with a little bit of ranch dressing.
I also like to eat romaine lettuce in a salad with fresh spinach, avacado, tomato and ranch dressing on the side.
I have not really tried other green leafy vegetables or greens and wonder if I did try them how I could prepare them without using meat products...
I am wondering what green leafy vegetables you like to eat most?
How do you like it to be prepared?
If you fix it for yourself, please give cooking or salad tips. Thanks.

That's good. I see that you eat different kinds of veggies. To me, I enjoy dark leafy green veggies. Especially asparagus and spinach. I use these to prepare meals. I would love to maintain good health with this kind of nutrition.

I really love brussel sprouts and I usually steam them or boil them. They are good with a little butter or just some lemon juice. I also really like collard greens and spinach. I usually buy frozen collards and spinach though, as cleaning the fresh ones is sort of a pain.

I used to hate the brussell sprouts with a passion as they were over boiled and we never had butter with them or lemon juice either...
It is good to see someone who enjoys them.
I am wondering how you fix the collard greens as I have never cooked them before and haven't a clue.

Oh here is one of my pet subjects...lettuce....yo me there is only one lettuce...iceberg, I just don't think the others have any taste, nothing like a nice crisp piece of iceberg lettuce and yet nearly all restaurants these days have what is commonly known as the designer lettuces....I hardly eat any of the salad when I get served these other what I call weeds...
just my opinion.

Grins... sorry to bring up the designer lettuce... I grew up with iceburg and probably my parents would have agreed with you as they liked it best.
I wound up gravitating away from it when I realized that the darker leaves had more vitamin content.
It did take some getting used to and still, there are times when restaurants serve what they call, field greens and i share the same feeling as you about it... I do not like to eat flowers either.

None. xD
Ever since I was a kid I hated leafy vegetables. I cannot stand the texture of them, it makes me gag. I have never eaten a salad before. People are usually surprised when they learn this about me. xD

I'm sorry that I brought up a food item that you don't like... wondering if you like ice cream... I just brought up that as a discussion topic too. grins. Thanks for responding to my post anyway. I appreciate it.

The green vegetables I love to eat are: lettuce, asparagus, spinach, and celery. I would love to have dark leafy greens as part of nutrition. I would use them to prepare meals for a healthy diet. That is the best idea to have all kinds of dark leafy green veggies added to your meals.
