my ex bf loved nirvana and because he loved them i loved them. ha i was 15 i wanted him to like me. lol. he went away but i still liked nirvana a lot, so aside from all the stupid pain he caused me, he left me some pretty badass music and i dont just mean nirvana, he opened my eyes to some pretty sweet stuff.

Ya, i know what you're talkin about...I got to hear the band for first time in 2000 i think...you know, its always been the pop-rock crap on the TV but there was this friend who got internet before evryone else(India,Kerala) and he started downloading all kindsa ROCK...and of course he ran into 'Rape me...'...theres been no lookin back since then. Kurt is a legend...strange human being who made little sense but loved by all...cryptic lyrics are soo haunting even to this day...He was Original!...yes thats the word, he wasnt a poser....I admire him like anything. LONG LIVE KURT COBAIN! \m/

I remember trying to listen to "Smells like teen spirit" on a super fuzzy radio station. Turning it up and trying to record it on a tape back in '92 or '93 when it came out. I had a corner of my room with pictures of Kurt all over the walls from magazines. I was obsessed from the start. I also remember an ex boyfriend of mine giving me this tape of a recording of a recording of Bleach and I was so excited because this was Nirvana music that none of my other friends had heard. We didn't even know there was an album before Nevermind. I never got to see them in concert though, which always makes me sad.
