Do your shoes and socks match?

I have a friend who considers herself the guru of fashion. She is very quick to point out that your shoes and socks don't match. To her, your shoes, socks and pants must all be the same color. I think it looks fine if your shoes and pants match and your socks match your shirt. What do you think?

No I don't always match my shoes, socks and pants to each other. My whole outfit will match together, not always the same color. This reminds me of a funny story. I have some summer canvas slip on shoes. I have several of the same shoe but different color. In the summer I love to match my shoes to my clothes. One day I didn't pay much atention, I just slipped my shoes on. I got out and about, after awhile I looked down. Imagine my surprise, I had on 1 black shoe and 1 blus shoe. Nothing I could do about at the time, I just did my best not to look down, hehe.

I love to hear stories like this. It makes me feel a little less "fashion ignorant" or is that indifferent? LOL I'm pretty careful about having all the colors I'm wearying kind of coordinate with shoes and socks, but matching? No way!

I don't think my shoes and socks match...I don't really pay much attention to this and will just wear what's available usually...I have even worn 2 different pairs of socks that don't match each other before i want to wear socks and can't find any! I don't think it really matters what we wear.

LOL. I have a granddaughter that has deliberately worn two different color socks since she was in elementary school. She's 24 and still does. The colors always have to co ordinate with her pants or shirt, but they don't match. ;0

I think just your shirt and pants should match, I just wear tennis shoes most of the time, so they go with everything.
