More water saving tips:
I possible, use a fabric conditioner for your clothes. Rinsing will be reduced doing so. Instead of needing to rinse three times, with a fabric conditioner, it is enough to do the rinsing twice.
So the money that you spend on the fabric will be minimal compared to the money you save on the water used to rinse your clothes. And your laundry will smell so much better.
And of course, our environment will benefit. it is a long term investment for our future generation.

I have one of the new general electric Calypso washing machines. It has a small agitator at the bottom, and does not use an entire tub full of water. It adds only enough water to thoroughly wet the clothes. It pulls in the detergent and fabric softener at the appropriate times. The agitator works like an old fashioned rub board, only gentler on the clothes. I've cut my water bill by over $600 per year since I got this machine.
