Do you ever snipe items on Ebay?

I was surfing around earlier and found a site that lets you snipe items last minute on Ebay. It lists auction listings that are about to expire. I suppose it could be really helpful for locating Ebay items that have no bids and are about to expire. I've never sniped anything on Ebay. So, I was wondering. Is sniping on Ebay legal? Does it really help you locate the items you want at a better price? Please share your Ebay sniping experience. Thanks.

I'm fairly sure they still let you use sniping sites. Ebay doesn't care, the more the listing goes up, the more they get paid for their cut of the profits. I haven't sold on there in quite some time now(6 months, maybe more now), but I loved the sniping sites. :) I always got a really good profit in the last few seconds from people using them. The items I sell(handpainted cherry items) do well in the summer, so it's about time for me to put stuff up on there again. I guess I should look at the ebay rules and check for the sniping, because that's where my profit margin came from.

I'd never heard of another site that did that. I have gotten items by bidding at the very last few seconds but always within ebay itself so I'm sure that is perfectly legal. I don't know about using another site to do it though.
